Tender Tracks Thurs. Day 42

March 2, 2017
Waxing Crescent Moon
Lake Lagunitas/Bon Tempe lake

Jesse and Isabella gone on holiday.

Kai met us up there and his Mom came with us until about noon.  This was a treat not only for Kai but for us all.  We wanted to take a new adventure to see if we could get to the damn and the other side to Lake Alpine. The road to our spot down there has been closed since one of the first big rains.

We started out at a lovely little spot opened to the sun and there we had a very small circle time.  All the children instantly though got very into all the trees and plants there and started building or creating. Ruby and Jake began their creating a performance which in truth is always on Ruby’s instigation. Jake loves to join in though!  He created an inspired and inspirational center piece with dried plant grasses and pine cones.  We weren’t able to see their performance.  In truth they really are about spending time preparing even when they say they are ready to share! 🙂

Archer found another path that he liked. Kai learned about the jobs and his was Guardian of Safety along with Kuba. He really liked this very much and spent the day making sure we knew where Poison Oak was and I do think he was hoping someone got a little cut so that he could tend to it. Another 🙂 from me here.

We began our journey down the long and new path. The Sun was shining so warmly that we peeled off some of our winter layers. The path wound around peacefully among trees and open sky and all around the beauty of the Lake to our left.   We found beautiful colorful plants that continued to let us know that Spring is Just Around the Corner. They were in such delight over this.  We saw Butterflies and birds of beauty. We saw where the strong rains had washed away some of the trail and we needed to take the “high road” to continue on.

The walk was slow and peaceful. So slow that we decided we indeed had not time to make it to the dam and explore so, what was up ahead???? A gorgeous tree, right near the water with sun and shade and, that is where we went to settle in.

There they found LOT’S of fishing line that was gathered and utilized by some, Kuba mainly, water to play in, grass to relax in and by the end of the day there was quite the games of throwing stones out to the “Midnight Zone” so said Archer.

I was putting some things together while Michelle was with them and it seems that they had many “zones” of good guys and bad guys but with magical names and dimensions. When we went to walk back this carried them all the way home and enabled them to run  and enjoy even when they were tired.

At lunch time they asked for a story so they each gave me something for the story and I made one up they enjoyed. It wound up including all of them but I don’t know if they really realized that or not:).

Kai’s Mother left around noon and we packed up and made our way not to long after that.
Ruby and Jake had gotten a bit wet earlier so when we got back a little changing party took place.

It was another peaceful and delightful day for all.
