Luna stayed home with her sick sister today. 🙂

The weather was exquisite after such a big storm the night before. No hard winds, no harsh rain only clear and refreshing air that invigorated us all.

Josie, Uma and Ellie got closer yet still had some struggles with playing with three yet it continued to ebb and flow, ebb and flow, ebb and flow and…GROW. Yes, they kept learning and growing, finding ease and safety with each other, finding it, thinking it was gone yet all the while their care for one another was actually there the whole time only to be found over and over again.

The boys, they were happy, playing exploring.

And, what did we do? Well, seeing what was happening after the storm with the waterfall, trees, creeks, ground and the like had to happen first off.  Then, we set up circle and told a grand story that lead us right into a snack of cooking NOODLES!!  Noodles, butter and salt cooked over the camp stove. It was delicious!  And it all got eaten up and the story got played out. Particularly the line in the tale “Stir little pot stir!”

We took an adventure to a place we have gone a few times. They loved climbing up the stone stairways, running through the puddles, listening for the Woodpeckers and seeing the Egrets and Great Blue Herons fly away in the Jurassic splendor.  Then we came to the place with the large laying down tree and climbing was a must.

Today I am having a hard time describing many of  the small yet large events that took place. There was simply so much exploration, play, reception of the beauty all around, sharing play, games, altering language to be appropriate one with the other…..And that is how the day went.

They still SOOOO love, while we walk back, to play Run Ahead, Hide, See if  they can be found and then, JUMP out laughing and then……. do it again, and again, and again!

A short Journal yet the day was full and rich.
