Waxing Moon
Lake Alpine area

It was just Michelle, Archer, Isabella and Jesse.  Since there were so few I stayed home to work and the four of them went off in the misty sometimes rainy day for grand, and what I heard very peaceful adventures.

Michelle showed me a picture at the end of the day of the children on a boat that literally floated right to their shore while they were eating lunch!!!  That is right. It appeard to be a make shift boat, like a boat that you would take people from one side of a  lake to the other side.  I was told that they all got on it and pushed it with a long stick. They didn’t go too far and Archer wanted to see if they could jump in or something like that. jesse said No way and Isabella was intrigued with that. It appeared that ARcher and Isabella got very, well fully wet and had a big changing party and I don’t think that happened with Jesse.

When I came back to meet them when they arrived they were all very happy and filled with tales of the day!!!

Waxing half Moon
Sorich Ranch

What a very beautiful day!  The amount of growth in the children that showed up today looked just like the immediate rush of blooming flowers that are all around us right now.  The difference from the beginning of the year to this day was profound and so very beautiful to witness.

And, just to let you know, and, don’t be surprised by this,  but….Isabella and Archer, well, they got married!  Yes, that is correct.  And, Kuba and Jesse worked at getting the area very nice for them. Jake was helping them get the food and flowers together and then Archer got stuck in a tree.  Oh well, it all  got squared away. Phew!  And then, without us knowing, Isabella announced that they were, ALREADY,  married!! Well, we missed the entire ceremony it seems. But no trouble actually, they said that they could do it again. 🙂

Kuba and Jesse were still moving the logs, well actually TRYING to figure out HOW to move the logs where they wanted them to be. Jesse had some great ideas. There was a bit of a catch though to where they wanted them. If they moved them there it  would interfere with the parks needs so, we had quite a figuring out session on where we could actually put them.  When it was all figured out, we began to drag this big log across the ground and then used another log to prop it up on and then, IT BECAME A GREAT TEETER TOTTER. Well, at least for a little while until it didn’t prove it self to be so safe. Then, down it went and of we went……

Michelle then brought them into a simple circle that brought us into finding rocks, cleaning them, grinding seeds, nuts and dried fruit,  mixed with almond butter and honey, and turning them into yummy balls to eat!!!  While she was rolling them I created a tic tac toe game on the ground.  First Jesse played and, I won. Then Kuba played and, I won but let him take over from there. Then he played Jake, Archer, Jesse and he won and then, He played me and HE WON!!!!!  Everyone was very impressed with his wise skills and so was I!!!!!  He was delighted and in sweet joy with his strategies.  We then got our things together and took the short cut up to the swings.

But oh yes, earlier when Jake and Isabella helped Archer get down from the tree the two boys said the sweetest things about Isabella. She had walked away to go help Jesse with something and Jake said ” Isabella is really nice.” and Archer said,” yes! she is really nice and, FUNNY!” and off they went.

The children have been wanting to go back to the swings for a while now and so we did but, we never took the short cut before.  In the past this hike would have taken quite a bit of energy but today, they scampered up with joy, ease and FUN!!!  And when we got there, poof, they scattered to their favorite spots: Jake clambered up a big rock, Kuba was immersed with following all the lizards that were around,  Archer, followed that path and  Jesse and Isabella went straight to the swings.  And then from there, sharing climbing up the rocks, noticing how incredible the trees were that were growing in harmony with the rocks, finding sparkling rocks in the river, that was Isabella, and the most amazing thing was watching Kuba get into ECSTASY over twirling the swing round and round and round, then hold onto it, TWIRLING all around and then RUNNNNING down the hill yelling, THIS IS CRAZY!!!! with the biggest smile and laugh.   He was so delighted with this game and Jesse followed him with joy.  And while this was happening Jake fell in love with three little bugs that he found.  Michelle got a little container, they put dirt in it and Jake, a long with Archer and Jesse,  spent quite some time following the rolly polly and two other unidentified bug friends.  When it was time to go Jake was beside himself when we needed to leave these friends there. What helped was comparing these new friends and their home to his visiting cousins. The final part that helped was that in his own backyard there would be little new bug friends there to find and play with.  With that, his tears dried up, and down the hill we went.

Isabella too had some challenges, she found such great stones in the creek and wanted to keep them all, but alas, all things have their home and she got to choose one. And in truth she gave thanks and love to the other shinning beauties, threw them back in the water, took the one beauty, put it in her pocket and down the hill she went.

The strength in each one of them today, their eyes beaming with sparkly joy, being a beautiful group together and caring so much about each other was radiant and joyful to witness.

In the bus they again, really wanted a picture drawn of their day so Michelle complied with her usual beautiful way.  They were then content and then, off we went.

Waxing Crescent Moon
Lake Lagunitas

The weather was easeful, warm with some cool breezes and clouds that brought us to pay attention at times. Also the Wind Children were a bit mischievous as well in the morning.
The energy for some was high and for some not so.  Due to what showed up Michelle and I both felt it would be beneficial to just stay in one place and allow them to gently unfold in the containment of our little hill, trees, and known places of play.

Our “activity” planned was to plant their wheat berries in their gourds.   And that we did, later in the day. To begin with however, we were at our Witch’s Brew spot and Fairy house spot. So they acclimated to time and space there while we set up circle.

Come circle time some were still filled with a lot of energy so there was playing games with their energetic flow until an easy rhythm finally found it self.
Due to the weather a particular story showed up called Gluscabi and the Wind Eagle. It was all about not wanting the Wind to Interfere with Gluscabi’s desires, him trying to get rid of it and then learning why we never want to do that.  Right as that last part came in to the story the wind blew harder. It made it’s point: we really DO need the wind to clean the air, blow in the rain clouds and refresh the waters when they get stagnant!!!!

The rest of the day, though we did not travel beyond our little hill, much  “traveling” right there did truly take place.  Jake played on the climbing tree and Isabella and Ruby were having a great deal of fun playing near him or with him. Kuba, Jesse and Archer with sometimes Jake, were VERY involved, from about 10 to noon or so trying to dig out a big old stump. They found tools from the ground/sticks that were good for digging, and all worked together digging around and around and around it.  They came running to us with great enthusiasm often and invited us to come and see what they were doing and how well they were doing.  It was quite impressive their entire process/journey with this.

Some where during that Kuba and I wound up finding throwing sticks, having a target, pretending he was a young boy living during a time when children had to hunt for their food. We found good sticks for throwing sticks and he threw the sticks at the target/rabbits, to bring home for the family for dinner.  Jake and Jesse joined in at times too and all played safely and cooperatively with such fun.

The girls were near Michelle and working with the gourds and the like a lot with Michelle.  She and I switched places often as we went from area to area being with the children and their adventures.

The Witch’s brew pot offered a great deal of fun too.  Edie loved “swimming” in it, so to speak, Archer liked splashing in it, Ruby joined in and so did Isabella. By the end of the day there was a changing party that took place.  Those who had finished changing were given chalk and they all colored on the pavement pictures upon pictures of their day and their inner world.

One by one, after lunch they came over to plant their seeds with soil that they needed to put into their little gourds too.  And then, they got to figure out and manipulate the spray bottle. It was not as easy as you might think!

Before we left some said” We didn’t go on an adventure” with some sadness in their voices.  I shared all the adventures we took during the day that just didn’t  come about with our feet moving far.  New Concepts to entertain 🙂
