Waning Moon
Foothills Park: Slippey Sliddey

Natalie was sick today and we sent our thoughts of Love, Light and a speedy recovery to her.
We then all wisked away to our shorter day in order to come back just a tad early in order to be greated by Mom’s ready for some Halloween fun.  When we got to Foothills Park there there were some digging trucks that Eric was a bit scared of so, even though we were about to begin circle, it seemed best to go and check out the sounds and sights that he was frightened of.  Most of them went with Bosch to see if there was a true worry to be had.  After that exploration Eric seemed to be more settled and ready to carry on.  We sang our songs and then, a different story showed up today then I had originally planned.  I had remembered that I wanted to show them a bone I have that is HUGE!!! Some of you saw it at the end of the day.  I brought that out and we had some fun with it, guessing what it was and all,  and then I told them the story of the Teeny Tiny Woman.  You can find this story in the library. At least that is where I found it a very long time ago.  The Teeny Tiny woman lived ina teeny tiny house and became a teeny tiny bit hungry so…… and the story goes on with how she was hungry and she wound up finding a bone in the graveyard, which the children didn’t know what that was so I said it was a place where people go when they leave Mother Earth.  It is a funny story with the extreme emphasis on Teeny Tiny this and Teeny tiny that. This was an intro into noticing all the Teeny Tiny things on the Earth and off we went!   We did find many earthly treasures and before we made it to the Slippey Sliddey we went a different direction where the children tried to scramble up a big hill and get some Buckeye’s. Some got up the hill, some tried, and some did not but, we did get Buckeyes and Bosch and I carved a variety of different faces on them, put sticks in the bottom and then we had some toys.
Anissa spent most of the day wanting to go back for the park for the party.  Getting her involved in different things took a while and, kinda sorta, happened after a time.
A goal of mine today was to give them an opportunity to go through some parts of the day that were a bit uncomfortable, in loving care, until they found all the treasures around them, and, they did.  After lunch almost all of them went over to the Slippey Sliddey and had a grand time of it.  Jasper wanted to eat and Anissa was clear that she did not want to go over there so the three of us stayed where we were while Bosch and the others had a grand time playing on the slippey sliddey.   It became time to leave and some were just not ready to leave but, off we went. Oh dear though,  where were Dahlias shoes?????? We looked and looked and looked but failed to find them. When we got back it seemed that Nareya lost her bottle. OH NOOOOO!!!!!  How could this be?  I think they all got hidden deeply under the Bay Tree leaves that were thickly covering the Earth.
When we got back we were greated by you all and how beautiful and fun that was.  It was grand to see them look for the orange pumpkins, find the white one, get a prize and then hide the white one for another to find and get a surprise.  YEAH!!!!
Thank you again!
